Forecast, Track condition : Very nice technical track , Fresh and sunny weather all weekend apart a little rain on Saturday night, great conditions in general.

An all-in-one package for this 1st round, very nice track, very friendly track crews, good racers and and a perfect weather to start....

This 1st round reached Ampuis near Lyon (South of France). 110 racers attended this race and all the top drivers were in hurry to battle for the win and take a good position for the title.

Even if a "late National rule" and "Engine Spec" row where the talk the last few weeks ago, a very good atmosphere spread around the pits and on the track during all the weekend. Mr. Roch, himself, expressed a desire to avoid any misunderstanding regarding the 2007 rules and would make sure that any row of this type do not come along in the near futur. We should have more info in the next coming weeks.

ELITE Qualifying: A lot of change this year for Team Kyosho, two new drivers joined the Team, Arnaldi B.A and Privat A. Both are top drivers and well know from the scene for years and would bring their experiences to use. The level being higher this year, so it was down to getting out in front and not making a single mistake! At this game, Team Kyosho drivers zapped them all, placing seven Kyosho RRR in the top ten after 3 qualifying rounds. After the semi-final, only one Kyosho driver bump up to the Final and Arnaldi B.A TQ's for his first race in 200mm, second was Wartelle S., third was Xray driver Bougnoteau and fourth was Pontal M.

NATIONAL Qualifying: A majority of drivers used a Kyosho RRR and SIRIO EVO3 STI in this class. Defie J. joined Team Kyosho - SIRIO during the winter season and was in a good form. But it was all for one man, Guilling J. who TQ and secured a nice spot for Team Kyosho. Second was Defie J. who starded very well with his new Kyosho RRR Evo powered by a SIRIO EVO3 STI.

NATIONAL Final: What a race! A perfect run of 30min by Joel Gulling who made a good start from pole with his Kyosho RRR and being at his home track, he left no chance to his competitors. Defie J. was on the pace and passed the finish line in second position and just in front of Mugen driver, Blanchard F. In fourth was Guillon T. with his Kyosho RRR.

ELITE Final: The last race of day, was going to be a 30min of hard racing in which the 4 Kyosho drivers will take the 5 fuel stops. Arnaldi B.A was on pole giving him the avantage at the start. Pontal M. seetled in 2nd following by Wartelle S. and Beron J.C, making a total lineup from the Kyosho drivers. But Pontal M. used his home experience by refueling at 6min and offered a close race for the win. Beron J.C was not in the pace and fought hard with Wartelle S. for the 3rd place. These four drivers totally dominated the race from the depart to the finish line and after 30min Pontal cruised home to win by some 5sec from Arnaldi, third was Wartelle and fourth was Beron.

Well that's about it for the first round , next stop Louvier where we wish our V-One RRR Evo, Sirio Evo 3 STi & Team drivers the best...!
